Connaughtman’s Rambles is a great fiddle tune to play at Irish sessions; everybody knows it, and it’s not too hard on harmonica, once you get used to playing the high notes! You can practice on any key harp, but the official key is D, so you’ll need a D harmonica to play at a jam.
When playing a jig, try to feel the underlying triplet rhythm (1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3) and remember to play each section twice.
