“Streamlining” the Melody
I’ve left out some of the words here to make the American square dance song “Skip to My Lou” work a little better as an instrumental melody.
The extra syllables are easy to sing, but can get you tangled up when you’re playing the tune. I think the streamlined version of the melody plays much more smoothly. Enjoy!
